Jeffrey Woods

MSPT, COMT, CMTPT, CSCS,  Owner/Physical Therapist

Jeff has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 17 years. He received his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. He has been practicing in the Baltimore area for the past 14 years and is now the proud owner of Optimum Performance Physical Therapy, LLC.
Jeff is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Vestibular Specialist. He specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, vestibular dysfunctions and manual techniques.

Joseph Cardoso


Joe grew up in the Baltimore area and graduated as the valedictorian of the class of 2008 from Parkville High School. He went on to the University of Maryland, College Park, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Neurobiology.  He received his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2015, graduating at the top of his class. During his doctoral program, he gained experience in a wide variety of fields including outpatient orthopedics, neurology, gerontology, and acute inpatient rehabilitation.  As a recent graduate, he has knowledge of the latest research that helps provide valuable insight into patient care.

April Luby


April has been working as a Physical Therapist Assistant for over six years in the outpatient setting. Her experience lies with a variety of orthopaedic, geriatric, vestibular, and falls risk patients, as well as injured workers and post-surgical rehabilitation. She enjoys providing continuity of care for each physical therapist she works with. She earned her Associates Degree from Anne Arundel Community Colleges’ CACHE physical therapist assistant program in 2009.

April is a certified exercise physiologist with ACSM, a certified workers compensation healthcare provider with ISPA, and an active member of the APTA. She currently resides with her family in Perry Hall.

Jonathan Furrs


Jonathan graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor’s of Science and Kinesiology and went on to achieve a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2016. He Spent considerable time working on the Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Intensive Care Units treating patients across the lifespan and went on to treat primarily athletes with a host of orthopedic injuries in the outpatient setting. Jonathan was born and raised in Germany and pursued a minor in Spanish at UMD and is proficient in both languages. His primary interests are orthopedics, athletic injuries, and balance disturbances. He is an avid soccer and tennis player.
